MARIMBA HIRE

Adams 3 Octave Marimba Soloist Instrument

Background

Nick Parnell is a passionate educator, guest lecturing at many tertiary and school institutions across Australia. A drive to share his enthusiasm for percussion resulted in the establishment of a marimba hire service, giving students the opportunity to practice on a high quality instrument; something that isn’t available to most percussion students. Note: Parnell personally chooses all of the marimbas available for hire.

Why Hire a Marimba?

No one can learn to play an instrument without practicing on one. So there are basically two choices for the aspiring marimba player – purchase or hire. With a little research, it becomes obvious that purchasing a marimba is an expensive pursuit; not to mention a time-consuming one, as marimbas are imported from overseas and can take up to eight months for delivery.

Fortunately, hiring a marimba is a much more cost-effective, quick and easy solution. If at any time the student does not to wish to continue playing, there has not been a large amount of money outlaid and it is just a case of making a call to organise for the instrument to be collected. Marimbas are also suitable for anyone learning xylophone, vibraphone or glockenspiel, as all these instruments have a similar construction and layout of notes.

About the Marimbas

Marimba Hire boasts a new fleet of Adams marimbas, which are the perfect instrument for the beginner through to the advanced student. These marimbas are three octaves in range (C3-C6) and contain the beautiful lower octave so students can learn a wide variety of music. All marimbas are height-adjustable and feature rich, resonate padouk bars. The instruments are also compact and equipped with wheels so they can be easily moved. Note: Larger range instruments may be available upon request.
